American romance novelist Elin Hilderbrand is known for her love stories, most of which are set on the idyllic Nantucket Island in Massachusetts. Reading her novels is like a breath of fresh air, and if you’re a fan of the romance genre, you may want to add some to your to-be-read list.

2. Summer of ’69 (2019) 

Four siblings always look forward to their summer with grandma in downtown Nantucket. But this year, so much has changed: oldest sister Blair is stuck in Boston, unable to travel because of her twin pregnancy. Kirby has taken a summer job on Martha’s Vineyard, and brother Tiger has been deployed to Vietnam, leaving 13-year-old Jessie all alone with her mother and grandmother. 

3. Winter in Paradise (2018)

5. Winter Street (2014)

9. Summer People (2003) 

The Newton family has an annual tradition: every summer, they go home to Nantucket and enjoy three months’ worth of sunshine, bonfires, and cookouts. 10. Nantucket Nights (2002)

11. The Beach Club (2000) 

Elin Hilderbrand’s first novel tells the story of its characters in the confines of a Nantucket Beach Club. Hotel manager Mack Peterson faces up to the challenge of meeting new demands from the hotel owner, Bill Elliot, while being pressured by his girlfriend to get married and facing hatred from his bellman.
